Members of the Society have admitted to feelings of a presence in various parts of the house and the general feeling that they were not alone, when they knew no one else was in the house.

Strange noises reportedly emanate from the basement when it is vacant. Sources for the noises can never be found.

Oftentimes, persons inside the building will notice the rhythm of a porch swing as it proceeds back and forth. On investigating, the sounds abruptly stop. Of course, there is no porch swing.

The most frequent phenomena is the apparitional form of a young woman slowly walking down the main staircase of the house. Those who have seen this form have studied it long enough to describe that she wears a taffeta dress and a bonnet and that she carries a wicker basket on her wrist. The distinct sounds of footsteps and the crinkling of the skirt accompany the apparition.
