Sam's has been a virtual plethora of activity for many, many years. Noises of a fight or scuffle as well as bar stools moving about on their own in the bar area have been heard over and over again by residents in the apartments over the bar. These noises always occur well after closing time. The noises have been captured on tape of the sounds of moving barstools. Investigations have always proven the bar to be empty at the time of the sounds. The back door which opens to a side alley is often heard opening on it's own. It has a distinctive sound, and often opens when no one is in the back section of the bar. Checks always turn up no one in that section.

Electrical devices often fail in the back section, however this could be due to faulty wiring. The pizza oven is often found on at the highest setting in the morning even though it was shut off and checked the night before. Sometimes, the oven will turn itself off for no reason. In the same kitchen area, large stacks of heavy dishes are found moving about the room.

The apparition of a man wearing a long coat has been seen by at least 4 workers of the building. He is usually seen coming out of the men's room and walking towards the front or back door.

There is a photo of a possible spirit... or a cloud of cigarette smoke... taken during a Halloween Party at the bar. A psychic was brought in and revealed some interesting facts regarding two murders on the site, which were later verified. EVP also revealed some interesting events.
