MADISONVILLE, Texas - The body of an elderly woman was apparently eaten by her five dogs after she died in the back yard of her home last month.Ê Investigators found only skeletal remains of Lettie Tubbs, 89, and the woman's clothes and shoes outside her home.Ê "The dogs were very, very thin. They were in a starving condition, too, so to them meat's meat," said Sheriff Dan Douget.
I have also heard similar stories of desperate pets living off the body of a deceased owner. It's nice to know we can take care of them that way even after we croak.
