Needful Things
Reviewed by "The Mystery Reviewer"I was very disappointed about "Needful Things". Its another story by "Stephen King", one of the best authors in horror. This is not one of his better movies. There is hardly any gore. Sure, there's a knife in someone's head and a skinned dog, but I think they could of done better.
"Needful Things" is about a little town called "Castle Rock", who has a visitor. This man,whose name is Mr.Gaunt, has a new store called "Needful Things" [hence the movie title]. You can have anything you want, but he doesn't want money. He wants a favor instead. Buy something from his store and you have to do something mean, sick, or even twisted to someone you hate.
Its all up to a cop to try and save these poor people of Castle Rock. I was expecting good things to happen in this movie, but I was wrong. Sure, the story sounds cool, but when you watch it you start to get bored.
I love Stephen Kings books that turn into movies, but I really didn't enjoy this one. If your looking for horror and tons of blood, stay away, but if you like Stephen King, go ahead and try it out!
