Classroom Chaos

Today was Show N' Tell
She was at school already
But she wanted to do something different
So she'd left at home her teddy
It was her favorite thing
But she took it every year
She wanted to bring something else
Something everyone else would fear
So she brought in her mommy's pet
A beautiful creature she knew
She brought it in a paper bag
The bag had its name on it:
Blue Soon it was the little girl's turn
In the lovely event Show N' Tell
She picked up her bag, stood in front of the class
And began to tell her pet, Blue's, tale
"This is Blue. She is my pet
Well, mainly my momma's.
Though I love her so dearly
She's a very sweet creature
but she doesn't like strangers
So don't get too nearly."
She cautioned her classmates with a slight grin
And opened up Blue's bag
She stuck in her hand and pulled out a sight
That would have made most children gag
The little girl put Blue down
She slithered around, much at stake
The little girl knew the she wouldn't bite
But the teacher did not like the snake
"GET IT!" She screamed at the little girl
But the girl just smiled and shook her head
"GET IT OUT!" Teacher screamed again
But the girl said, "Nope, I'd rather be dead.
This is just too funny
To take her away I'm sorry but, Teacher,
She'll just have to stay,"
The snake slithered through the desks
She looked up at each and every child
The little girl grinned
It was crazy and extremely wild
The little girl laughed
As boys and girls screamed
It lasted forever
Or so to her it seemed
The teacher ran out and got the principal
He came in and told her to put Blue away
And so ended her fun
On that wonderful Monday
Her mother went to the school
To pick up daughter and snake
The principal gave her the girl
And said "I'll allow you to take
Home umÉBlue on one condition
She'll never be allowed back."
The mother just smiled and picked up her snake
And the little girl grabbed her backpack.
"I'm proud of you baby.
You stood your own ground.
I love you Sabrina.
But next year please don't take
My beloved snake."
