Lost Words

My thoughts are jumbled, lost in a haze,
So I put this pen on the page and start the maze.
Winding through my mind to feel,
what is needed to help and kill.
Lost Words

This poem is done when my words are gone,
And my thoughts are as they belong.
Clear and steady and readable to me.
So that they can be hid from all to see.
These words show what I truly know,
And clear up the haze so it shows.
But when the maze is down and done,
my words dry up as is by the sun.
The thoughts are clear, no longer lost,
So these last words come at a cost.
I realize my fault and show my regret,
Wishing I could travel and hit reset,
But the past is gone, and we are here,
All we can do is look forward with no fear.
