Final Destination
This movie is refreshingly different. No masked slashers, no embodiments of "evil", and no clear idea of what to expect next. The premise is simple. A young man has a premonition of his plane exploding, and in his panic manages to get himself and several others kicked off the flight before it takes off.
As it turns out this young man and his reluctant companions managed to cheat death, and in doing so, seem to have put things out of balance. Suddenly it seems that everything around them is seeking to redress that error, and put things back into balance... which of course calls for them to die.
A slip here, a misstep there, and suddenly, things that might have appeared to be just "bad luck" or accidents take on a more sinister aspect. Death is a force of nature, and it has a lot of tools at it's disposal to reset the balance.
Many good jolts and a steady undercurrent of chills make this a very good movie. Rent and enjoy. You will never look at your bathroom the same again...
