Gladiator
This has enough blood and gore to satisfy most Fangoria types, but the compelling story, meticulous attention to historical detail, and cinematography make it an all-around winner. Even those who do not like the sight of blood will be able to enjoy this powerful movie.
It is somewhat disturbing to realize that after 2000 years, it seems mankind has not changed much.
