Relic
Now here is a modern-day classic! This is something of a sleeper of a film... not much fuss was made when it came out in theaters, but there was a lot of competition during the same release dates and it never got the recognition it deserved.
This film has a pretty cool story line that involves animal, plant and insect DNA and hormones getting combined with human elements... There are enough decapitations, bloated bodies, and sudden deaths to satisfy even the most jaded gore fans. And all of this takes place in a creepy dark museum at night... Do you have any idea how creepy a dark, empty museum is at night, even without a brain-eating murderous "thing" lurking in it?
Anyway, there are some good twists and turns, and some pretty satisfying moments when people get what is coming to them (heh heh heh...). But you have to pay attention to this movie for it to make sense. Little things are important... like the leaves... remember the leaves...
