Sleepy Hollow
Great movie! Even if it bears little resemblance to the original story, Tim Burton has made it better!
The atmosphere is suitably creepy, and the characters convincingly done. Johnny Depp is perfect as the somewhat inexperienced and unsure inspector, bravely forging ahead with his disbelief held out before him like a shield... Until he meets up with the Headless Horseman, that is.
The special effects are great. The music is perfect, and the tree... ahh... the tree that is the gateway to hell is grotesquely awesome. And the scene where the Headless Horseman bisects someone who is simply in his way is quite... graphic. And wait till you see who the Headless Horeseman is played by... he is creepy even with his head!
This one is a rental these days of course, so you get to pick when to watch it. Pick a dark and stormy night when you are alone...
Two Chills for creepyness, two Skulls for messing with your head, and five Eyeballs for a very worthwhile film to see.
