Spawn
While this is not truly a horror film, it has a dark theme and is worth reviewing here. Spawn is a live-action rendition of a comic book character. A lot darker and more intense than other comic book heroes, like Batman or Blade.
The themes are rather adult and heavy, the violence satisfying in the context of the story. Not quite kiddie material, but several teens who viewed it with Scuttles enjoyed it immensely. Worth renting for fun if you are in a dark mood.
