Unbreakable
Wow... the Writer, Director & Producer who brought us The Sixth Sense has proven that it was not a fluke. This fellow really knows his stuff.
This movie is set in Philadelphia, like Sixth Sense, and it has the same quiet air of mystery about it that you felt in the Sixth Sense, and the lead actor is the same as in the Sixth Sense, but here the differences end. This is not about ghosts. It touches on something of the child in each of us, and it also shows human behavior at its worst, but ultimately, you walk out saying"He did it again! Why didn't I see it from the beginning? Now I have to go back and see it again!"
There is an element of something almost supernatural, but it is only hinted at. You never get hit in the face with anything truely unbelieavable... and that is actually one of the reasons this movie is so compelling... you can't help but think, maybe... just maybe... it could happen... Hmmm.....
In any case, I think this could become a n excellent series, should the same director decide to contuine to expand upon the story. I hope he does, it could be a fun ride.
Go see it before someone ruins the ending for you, then rent it. Excellent movie.
