Spirit Guide and Levitation
I never really shared my stories with you. So I will let you know some of my rather stranger experiences.
First, I have one thing that started I guess when I was eight or so. I would often see a black cat walk past me or to the side of me but if I looked directly At it, it would disappear. I noticed that I would either just walk past or sit watching me. Sometimes I could watch it for a minute, but just out of the corner of my eye because if my eyes moved towards it, the cat would no longer be there. It never touched me nor did it ever look or act aggressive, so it doesn't bother me, in fact is sometimes comforts me to know that something is watching me. (At least that's what I am guessing it does.) It seemed to come regardless of my mood but usually only when I was the only one in the room. But there was someone often in the next room. Yes, I've seen it both indoors and out (but usually in). I saw it frequently until I was in the 8th or 9th grade. Now I see it only every once in a while but haven't seen it in a while.
Upon doing research I found that I could be my spirit animal or a guardian. At a native American display, I talked to different people at the different exhibitions to find out more but none of the tribes or exhibitors had their shaman with them (and some didn't really know what I was talking about because the only go to these because it's their heritage and are more modern.) So unfortunately I did not find out if the cat is my spirit animal. Maybe one day I'll find out. Just wanted to hear what you had to say.
About the other strange thing that happened to me. I was really young. Well anyway my mom used to always wake me up so I could see the high school bus go by our house. Don't know why but I liked seeing that. Well she called me and I came running out of my room into the hall and was suddenly picked up off the ground and held in midair. My feet were kicking below me and I saw that I was a few feet from the floor. Of course I panicked and screamed. My mother came running around the corner into the hall and then the force dropped me. She saw me as I fell. But neither of us could explain it. It was a one-time thing. I do remember thinking I was tripping and was going to hit the wall (actually a closet door) in the hall. Well just wondered what you thought.
(Wes, thanks for recounting your experiences. Regarding the mostly-invisible cat, if it was a "Spirit Guide", it would presumably have been trying to guide you in some way. I haven't heard of them just " hanging around", so to speak... they usually have a mission. That isn't to say that a cat may not be your Spirit Guide, but that isn't the only possibility. It is possible that it was a ghost cat, although they are rare, and usually have a connection with the person who sees them. It could also be a form of wish-fulfillment... a kind of visualization of the future, when you acquire a black cat of your own.
The levitation issue can go either way... When we are in a fear state, our sense of time can be distorted. Microseconds can seem like minutes. It is possible that you felt yourself falling, and in that state of fear, you experienced a sense of time stopping for a moment... which would feel like being held in place in midair. If you look at it from a supernatural view, it is possible that a friendly ghost or spirit (say of a recently passed relative, for example) kept you from tripping and falling. Or from a parapsychology view, perhaps you have latent telekinesis powers that have never been developed. In any case, don't tempt fate by trying to fly or anything. Chills... Scuttles)
