Undeveloped fetus of twin found in youth's abdomen
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) Doctors operating on a 16-year-old who suffered intense abdominal pain found the remains of a fetus _ the boy's twin _ instead of the tumor they had expected. Demerdash Hospital surgeons said they removed 4 pounds of a deformed and underdeveloped fetus from Hisham Ragab's abdomen on Tuesday. The doctors attributed the phenomenon to the improper splitting of a fertilized ovum. A proper division would produce twins. Ragab, a construction worker, should be released next week, doctors said.
